Manomaya Kosha – The Mental Body

Over the last fews weeks in our yoga classes we have been exploring and working with the Kosha in mind. This week it was the Manomaya Kosha which is the layer of our being that governs the mind, emotions, and thought patterns. It is the bridge between our physical experiences and deeper awareness, shaping our perceptions and reactions.

This kosha holds our mental chatter, conditioning, and subconscious tendencies, influencing how we respond to life’s challenges. When balanced, it fosters clarity, emotional stability, and a sense of peace.

However, when agitated, it can lead to stress, anxiety, and mental restlessness. Through mindful movement, breathwork, and meditation, we can soothe and harmonize Manomaya Kosha, creating a more peaceful inner state.

Affirmation for Manomaya Kosha: My mind is clear, calm, and at peace.
